Trades
1.
PIT
  1. Rakell, Rickard
Additional Details:
This is easily the #1 Option for Pens
- He is a Right Handed Guentzel type
- Could play "Kessel" spot on PP
ANA
  1. Addison, Calen
  2. Riikola, Juuso
  3. 2020 1st round pick (PIT)
  4. 2021 3rd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
ANA has a good group of young & prospect Forwards, 3-4 at LHD, & even 2 at Goalie. But ANA does have a hole at RHD.
2.
NYR
  1. Björkqvist, Kasper
Additional Details:
2020 1st Round Pick (PIT)
2021 5th Round Pick (PIT) "Conditional" (of Kreider Re-signing)
3.
4.
TOR
This would only happen in a
3- Way Trade type Deal where-

TOR gets a Brodin type LHD
    Pens get Kappy
MIN get POJ + 2nd Rdr
    5.
    NJD
    1. Hållander, Filip
    2. 2020 3rd round pick (PIT)
    3. 2021 2nd round pick (PIT)
    Additional Details:
    4. Galchenyuk, Alex
    6.
    PIT
    1. Anderson, Josh
    Additional Details:
Anderson has been injured & scary bad this yr, but still worth a shot.

      1. Galchenyuk, Alex
      2. 2020 3rd Round pick (PIT)
      7.
      DET
        1. Galchenyuk, Alex
        2. 2021 2nd Round pick (PIT)
        8.

          PIT
          1. Zucker, Jason ($1,500,000 retained)
          Additional Details:
I like Zucker but a 28 yr old Oft injured winger , w/ 4 yrs @ $5.5 is tough to take on. If this deal happens - MIN must retain $$

            2. 2021 2nd Round pick (PIT)

              PIT
              1. Granlund, Mikael
              Additional Details:
              * This could be the best & cheapest option for Pens ???
              - Granlund was always a good player, battles hard, analytics are still decent, but just hasn't worked in NSH?
              NSH

Could Pittsburgh add a winger for his spot? Or is that already a lot

Can't speak for the others but MTL need a 1st coming back for Tatar, especially if retaining cap. This offer is at most equivalent to two 2nds and a 3rd which isn't enough. Galchenyuk just isn't interesting for them given his history there and pending UFA status.

Also no, flipping him at the deadline is not a great idea and would be a hassle which would likely not get great value.

Kudos on the effort, but you can pretty much take Galchenyuk out of any trade that would include a top 6 forward returning or a rental. He doesn't have that type of value as a struggling UFA. Tatar and Zucker conversations start with a 1st. Top 6 scoring wingers with term always start there.
Kreider isn't worth that much to me, I don't think a middle 6 scoring winger that is a true rental is worth a 1st. I know the rangers want a 1st, but I dont think they get one.
San Jose is in cap hell. If they trade Labanc it will be for a 1st and a blue chip prospect. The penguins don't have a prospect like that to make San Jose listen.

Kind of feel the guy with the most points of all players on this board is being sold for pennies on the dollar here....... if that's what your willing to pay then I can almost guarantee Tatar won't be a Pen.

Thats what everyone said about Brassard too and look what we got back for him + a cpl picks.
                    - I mite agree w/ Tatar, maybe i did value him a lil low , but a 28yr old oft injured winger & small winger (like all Pens wingers) in Zucker w/ a bloated cap hit, that only hit 30 goals once in 9 yr NHL career, & only avg's .50 PPG in NHL, and coming off a broken leg ?? Is worth a 1st Rdr??

Top 6 wingers with term on their contracts are moved for 1st rounders. Not sure his contract is bloated. Over the last 3 full seasons combined the only Penguins players with more 5v5 goals than Zucker is Crosby and Jake. His 5v5 point production during that time was exactly the same as Matt Duchene, David Krejci, and Nikolaj Ehlers. He produces and is worth a 1st.

Preds aren't going to trade Granlund straight up for a worse UFA.

That’s a terrible Labanc deal. Make it a first and a prospect and cut out the second we give. We can also take back Galchenyuk for free

Columbus declines. If we are to trade Anderson it’ll be for picks or a younger player with control who’s also slumping, not a pending UFA who will just leave at the end of the season.

There are only so many players "worth" a 1st Rdr or 1st Rdr Plus & Zucker just isn't one of those

Just figured 2 extremely bad players rite now that need a change & maybe Chucky does good there & yinz can re-sign him on the cheap?

I think they are both not working out for both teams.

When does chucky go from needing a change to just not that good of a player? hes on his 3rd team in 3 years. i think its at this point his value plummets. Anderson is having a brutal year, most of that is injury related absolutely zero chance a trade for anderson happens where the main return is chucky.

Over the last 3 seasons combined -
                    Zucker - 68 goals, 66 assists, 65 penalties drawn, and 123 takeaways/80 giveaways
                    Kreider - 61 goals, 60 assists, 34 penalties drawn, and 66 takeaways/133 giveaways

One if these guys has term left on their contract, the other is a rental, but your 1st round value is on the wrong guy.

I’d go for a cheap rental winger because I don’t want to give up a 1st or overpay for a guy who won’t succeed here like a lot of players (ex: Brassard)

Yeah, but NSH isn't headed to the playoffs, and could get some value for Granlund in picks/prospects. Galchenyuk doesn't make sense for them.

And Kreider missed almost a whole season bc of blood clots too during that time, Plus Kreider brings so much more than a bloated cap hit... He would bring a physical element to this small forward group, he is faster than Zucker, he is a better net front guy on PP, Kreider is basically a bigger, faster Kunitz ... and that worked out well w/ Sid

In the same time span -
                    Zucker - G/60 1.19, A/60 1.16
                    Kreider G/1.17, A/60 1.15
Bloated cap hit? Top six forwards make over 5 million. That's how it works. You think Kreider isn't going to get 6 or more on his next deal? The only thing bloated is going to be the asking price for a rental from a division rival. Use your assets to get something with term.

This yr, Zucker is regressing big and heading down and Kreider still strong - YES a bloated $5.5

                    Rates - Kreider - Zucker
                    CF/60 - 68.61 - 55.32
                    FF/60 - 51.53 - 41.93
                    SF/60 - 37.13 - 30.31
                    GF/60 - 4.45 - 3.72
                    GA/60 - 2.61 - 3.16
                    SCF/60- 34.16 - 25.2
                    HDCF/60- 14.12 - 11.53
                    HDGF/60- 2.61 - 1.67
                    MDCF/60- 26.73 - 18.22
