If that is the cost for Manson, don't go after him. He's not nearly that valuable.

I really like Dermott and Johnsson, and convinced they are fringe pieces of the next 6 years of contending.

But Manson is amazing! He has a goal and 4 assists in 30 games this year! 16 in 74 games last year. And improving too! He had a massive negative expected goals last year, and this year it's up to -0,0 net!

While TOR pays enough in value in this trade, ANA will decline this trade for the simple reason that the players they're getting in the exchange are completely unnecessary for them. They don't need mid-6 wingers and their LHDs are more than set for future. Ceci is worth basically nothing and is only included due to monetary reasons.

You want Manson, the cost is Liljegren. No one else is interesting enough for ANA.

Manson is NOT WORTH Liljegren, no Ducks fan thinks that ( I hope )

But on a strict needs basis AJ/Kap + a prospect/ young player like Bracco/Dermott (ones I see the most) doesn't make sense for us to do, we need RD back and frankly I dont think ANA and TOR match up well for a Manson trade, TOR shouldn't give up Lily but the Ducks shouldn't trade Manson there without him.

I think the difference between Lily and the next RD in the leafs system is too steep to just add the next one in, realistically Manson is worth a young RD a tier below Lily and maybe a pick throw in from whatever team trades for him
