Sharks reject. Dillon is better than Braun and younger and more valuable imo

Columbus rejects. Wennberg is better then that, he looks like he’s finally turning it around.

Wennberg and Laughton have extremely similar stat lines over the last two years, both play C and are both roughly the same age. I think that's one of the closest comparable on here...

That's fair, I couldn't think of a good Braun comparable and it looked close enough for the sake of finishing the last few

Scheifele is a better producer but Couturier is the superior two-way player. Obviously for chemistry reasons that would never happen as a real trade, but the value is almost dead even IMO

Over the last 2 years Wennberg has sucked... Wennberg also has a season of almost 60 points... Laughton doesn’t have that his max is around 35 I believe. Over the past month or so Wennberg has looked a lot more like his 2nd line center self then this fringe NHL player self from the last 2 seasons.

I guess there's a different way to view it from a history perspective. Laughton is definatley a late bloomer who has gotten better and better. He was scoring at roughly a 40-45 point pace earlier in the year before getting injured. I don't think he has 60 point potential though, if the consensus is that Wennberg is likely to get back there I could see why the trade would be unfair

I really like Laughton tbh. I think he’s going to be an excellent 3rd line center. As for Wennberg I feel he could still be a good 2nd line centering he is to over come his issues of being inconsistent. I’d say a good match for Laughton in Columbus would be Jenner as he’s a great 3rd line center but can play 2nd line in a pinch.

Detroit declines but counters with AA for Gostisbehere and it was suggested yesterday in a different proposal.
