Hawks don't need what you're offering. They need more players like Connor Murphy

No way I want Alexander Nylander traded to the Leafs. Michael Nylander has settled in nicely with the Leafs ...finally. Don't want him worried about his baby brother on the team team.

Good one. When I wrote it is sounded strange. So I checked the Hawk player...and I was right about him. It's so tough to keep up with the NEW Leafs with all the injuries, sarcasm How long has WILLIAM being a Leaf?

Hawks need Murphy more so that they need offensive help at the NHL level. Not sure they need an undersized AHL player in Bracco. He’s a strong prospect but how come he’s not in NHL yet? Is he stuck behind other Leafs players on the depth chart?

Not sure what Ian Scott brings to this trade. Hawks are actually kind of OK with goalie depth in Lankinen, Delia, Tompkins, and Gravel (QMJHL).

Lastly, there’s just no way Bowman trades Nylander. That would admit failure of that Jokiharju trade.

I should say the trade is fair. I just am not sure if it’s the right move for the Hawks.

You’ve got 10 more years to figure it out. I don’t think willy wants to hop around like his dad.

Bracco inst in the NHL cause hes stuck behind Marner, Nylander and Kapanen, and is a PP specialist. many leaf reporters say hes the second best playmaker in the leafs org, behind marner, Once he figures out the d side of the puck he will be a 2nd line playmaker, maybe 1st line.

but 100% guaranteed he would be in the league if he played on another team

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Wingers can play on their off sides.

I don't think the value of the trade is off in value, but just doesn't work for the Hawks. We aren't moving Murphy for a top 9 winger who has a whooping 10 goals (Kap) playing for an offensive powerhouse team. Additionally, pretty sure Nylander has just as much if not more upside then Bracco so that's a net loss IMO not a gain. We have multiple goalies in our development system (Delia, Lankinen, Gravel) two of which will pro experience. Ian Scott has been decent in the WHL but long term project; longer then Delia, Lankinen and Gravel so not much value there.

Hawks top 6 wingers; Kane, Saad, Cat and Kubalik; all are better then Kap and Bracco. While Kap could help our 3rd line or allow us to move one of our top 4 wingers down to the 3rd line for more balance, we shouldn't do that at the cost of a top 3 defenseman that is cost controlled for a #5 winger on our depth chart, and even with a late 2nd rounder thrown in...just doesn't make sense for the Hawks.
