There were scouts at the game tonight in Ottawa, including Rick Dudley. You may not be too far off

Seems reasonable. However, I think Ottawa will sign at least one of them before the deadline.

I didn’t work it in here, but I suppose there could be a condition about Demelo re-signing with Canes too. Theoretically possible for one or the other to sign w the Sens in offseason.

I have to imagine if the Sens were willing to agree to those conditions you would have other interested suitors. I also think with that large list of conditions they would probably deal each player separately and get a better (or at least a known) return. I know I would like Toronto to be in on Demelo as well.

Ottawa might take TVR (retained 50%) back to help you with salary to fill the hole in their lineup.

I understand the logic for sure, and the market will dictate a higher return for JGP given the soft market for available centers, especially defensively responsible right handers.

I do very much believe that teams will not be willing to give up firsts, and I’m starting to wonder how many will actually be dangling conditional firsts too.

Should be interesting, but the Canes should be active for quality depth, and have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds.
