Our fans will be so reluctant to trade Reinhart though. He's good but some of us act like he's untouchable. Probably because of his 2OA title.

Be interesting to see what reinhart is actually worth. I feel like hes a guy that any team would gladly take off your hands, but nobody is giving up anything of value. Probably worse depending on how much he signs for.

I'm one of those people. I'm in the mood to trade everyone outside of eichel and dahlin at this point tho

My thing is, if Reinhart has any brains whatsoever, he sees the 9 mill you just gave Skinner and plainly states he's outplayed him this year and asks for the moon. Plus they've sucked his whole career here and it's not like Buffalo is a top notch city with tons of stuff to do to make up for it. How much are you really willing to pay Reinhart to make his on ice production worthwhile?

Key difference is he still has 2 rfa years left.

It's hard to trade your good players when the problem is you dont have enough good players, I'm just fed up

The Habs would likely want to find a way to take Reinhart over the Thompson-Risto package. They'd probably happily trade Gallagher for Reinhart, but I doubt that would satisfy Sabres fans. But that could be the nut of a deal. I do think Gallagher would do really well with a centreman like Eichel, both clearing out the slot and stuffing home the garbage goals. Reinhart is more versatile, something the Habs -- still low on depth at forward -- really need.

Sure, we could take him to arb for 2 years and then he walks for nothing if he really wanted to. This team needed a star with that 2OA pick and Reinhart is just not a star plain and simple. Good player sure, but not elite like all teams would kill for at 2OA. He's expendable to me, but you'd have to get a 1 for 1 or a multiplayer deal to make it work.

Theres just too many guys that would look good with eichel. We are pretty desperate for guys that look good away from him.

Gallagher would do that too.
