Greenway

Description
NY Post Larry Brooks highlighted the Rangers may target Jordan Greenway as a bottom-six winger since he played at BU under Quinn. Minnesota fans...what would he cost?

Would it be draft picks?
Maybe the Wild would want Buchnevich as you would think Kaapo/Kravtsov would take his job soon...and a way for Rags to shed salary?
Maybe a bigger trade involving Georgiev if Wild want to pursue a goalie?

As a wild fan, I like Greenway and don't really want to see him moved, but Buchnevich isn't a bad suggestion I could get behind if him and Kaprizov are buddies.. Do what it takes to make Kap comfortable and get him in stride quickly to see if he can transition his game to the NHL at the level we hope.

,,,,Buch for Greenway + 1st + 2nd?

Realistically I can see Hajek for Greenway.

Not bad....although i doubt Minny would part with any draft picks since they are in somewhat of a rebuild and likely in the draft lottery this year.

No chance you're getting those picks, let alone any likely. You're overestimating Buch's value and criminally underestimating Greenway's

That's a horrible assessment, but I take it you did not realize Greenway is only 22 yrs old with good potential, he isn't just a rental player or a career 4th liner.

Well certainly I did. But again, I guess the potential argument only goes one way. I'm offering Libor Hajek who's younger. If you want to pay extra, I can try and offer you Brett Howden who has already eclipsed Greenway's point rate despite being a year younger.

But please, tell me more about potential lol...Greenway is a big defensive 3rd line winger, in the same way as say Miles Wood or Brendan Lemieux a poor man's Josh Anderson...all solid players. But you're kidding yourself to associate him with Buchnevich, who is basically Nino Niederreiter.

Hard trusting your arguments when you can't do basic arithmetic correctly. Howden has 35 pts in 114 games, for an average of .307 PPG. Greenway has 44 pts in 135 games, for an average of .326 PPG. Not that I don't think Howden won't surpass Greenway since Greenway's opportunity for more minutes are sheltered by our overstock of left wingers, and he's not going to be taking any of Parise or Zucker's minutes.

....and Howden's a year younger. Don't get me wrong, I like Greenway. He has value. He's just not comparable to Buchnevich.
