Bruins Carolina Vegas fans and 3 others - Guesses for Dillon

Created by: yikes
Team: 2019-20 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 29, 2020
Published: Jan. 29, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Tried 3 different options with the 3 known teams that are interested; making this a likely a matter of not IF but rather when.

Prospect + 2nd
2nd with conditions to acquire more picks
Prospect trade only.

Now the other 3 teams are complete guesses as to who they are.

And as I said I tried multiple different trade options so not saying “WHITECLOUD WILL BE TRADED FOR DILLON”, but just trying different looks.

              Brenden Dillon has consistently been a sound defence-man for the sharks (a team who’s been lacklustre defensively last year and currently).

              I’m not saying he’ll be your 2nd man, but safe in your top 4 and 5th on a deep defence team. He’s posted positive advanced stats and really played well to the eye test on a abysmal team this year. What you’re getting is the sharks most liked player, according to teammates. He’s a glue guy but plays hard, hits, and will give you quality minutes. I hope he goes to a team that can go far.

              Has Toffoli been good this year (honest question).

              I assume the bruins have the capital to acquire both tho

              hes been decent, 12 goals 15 assists in 49 games. slot him next to krejci and he should be fine. They have the capital but the teams starting to get old, im not sure they want to end up like SJS

              thats a bad take, dillon is def worth that package. Bruins may want dillon if its deemed miller is done, they have clifton whos the only real hitter on the defense. dillon could supply a nice healthy dose of shutdown d with grz. i wouldnt hate the trade honestly. can never have enough capable dmen.

              If you could read I said the trades aren’t exact just tried different options. But more funny;

              I guess you’re a better source then actual NHL insiders.

              Be honest with yourself. You aren’t. This is per Pierre LeBrun, not a random dude on cap friendly lul.

              That jets trade is pretty brutal. Stanley is kind of a bust

              Subtle jab at SJS lol, I’m not a huge fan of Toffoli like if his ask starts becoming a 1st (like I’m not a fan of the first for Kreider talk), Although winning comes at a cost.

              Yeah I haven’t a solid assumption of Stanley as some people think he’s still got a chance and then others say he’s a tall guy who’s overrated and a bust. Could be changed but I wouldn’t know who to interchange with

              I mean, heres the issue with SJS. They gave up a good amount for EK. EK is an offensive defenseman, he was a luxury not a necessity. They went for it, their team depth is gone now because of it. the 11m they gave EK could have gone to 3-4 players and this team could have been pretty decent.

              I could see the Canes making a push for Dillon to solidify our D-core even more before the playoff push. We need another tough defenseman with Eddy.

              Canes are a frugal bunch, and rarely make trades that include high leverage draft capital or prospects.

              However, I do think they would consider a conditional package for Dillon but not one where the outcome could be 2x2nds. I think the only condition they would place regarding season success would be a higher profile move which would include a 1st.

              Id be interested in a second and condition that either it becomes a first if they win, or the sharks get a bonus third or something if they don’t

              thats a bad take, dillon is def worth that package. Bruins may want dillon if its deemed miller is done, they have clifton whos the only real hitter on the defense. dillon could supply a nice healthy dose of shutdown d with grz. i wouldnt hate the trade honestly. can never have enough capable dmen.

              If you could read I said the trades aren’t exact just tried different options. But more funny;

              I guess you’re a better source then actual NHL insiders.

              Be honest with yourself. You aren’t. This is per Pierre LeBrun, not a random dude on cap friendly lul.

              Well they can not want him but the value you think is certainly wrong

              Come on guys,. Bruins already have a solid top 6 and have like 3 Extra dmen (Moore, Clifton, Kampher)...
              They need a 2nd line winger and a 3rd line center and WOULD NOT trade away stuff for defensemen untill they have their needs.
              Just because you guys think the trade works or the value is right doesnt mean it is. Im just telling you the factual needs of the team and the fact that they wont trade away those pieces for another dman that they do not need at all

              “Factual”

              The Fact of the matter is the bruins are interested. The fact of the matter is we don’t know if the trade is going to happen or not but the interest is there as per the reasoning of the post. Factually you’re not an insider. It may be true they have a good top 6 but if they think Dillon makes them better than that’s clearly why there’s reported interest (not a trade but interest).
