Need a 3C better than Kampf. Put Kampf on 4th line, Shaw on 2nd or 3rd wing and let Dach run a line. I'd rather keep De Haan than sign Merrill.

Adding John Merrill and loosing Gustafsson, De Haan and Smith makes this team go on a run?

I think Lehner stays in Chicago for 6 x 6.5 but doubt he'd take anything less then that. He pretty much said that he's not taking a hometown discount to stay there.. He'll be a hot commodity on the open market this summer if he makes it.

I think a Murphy-Mitchell pairing would excel because they probably fit together well, one active defenseman and one stay at home guy, and Murphy has had experience playing on his offhand, atleast enough to give it a shot, and I think the Maatta-Koekkoek pairing has played well enough to get a shot next season as well if they both stay and the defensive corps looks like this. That might look like a little much for Lehner but the reality is that's probably how much itll take to lock him up for 6 years, and having his stability is going to be a necessity for this team in the future, so that's probably a realistic contract for him to stay here. Other than that, Id probably say if Gus gets traded so does Crow, but who knows if we will still be in the race come trade deadline. Think this looks like a solid team, but Barratt probably gets a look at the 3c and I like highmore over shaw at this point on the 4th line because he doesn't take 3 penalties a game, but Entwistle probably gets a look too.

Not really. Look at his numbers, and not just this year and last year. His numbers were great in Buffalo with the exception of the 17-18 years, and that was more a reflection on that dog**** team than him.

He's one of the best goalies in the league, and he's going to be the big fish this year. He's getting paid.

Mitchell and Boqvist are both better than Gustafsson. Keith, Murhpy, Maatta, Boqvist, and Mitchell are all great dmen and Merril is a fine number 6.
