- Ladd goes on LTIR

WPG has no defensive depth. Leddy could easily be their #2 or #3 guy. While he has had a strong season under Trotz, Leddy is likely one of the cap casualties of the offseason. Especially if Lamoriello wants to make subsequent moves. I would love to pry Ehlers out of Winnipeg. Is it likely? I'm not sure. But this is the optimistic post and the trade fills a need for both teams.

I feel like ehlers would take pulock , or Wilde + wahlstrom IMO. Hes a top line winger on a pretty good contract.

Was debating swapping Bellows with Wahlstrom. Just wasn't sure where to go on that. I'd make the change if that's what it took

I wouldn’t trade Wahlstrom yet because yes he’s having a bad season but you also got to remember it is his first year playing professional hockey and look at bellows last year was he is first year playing pro hockey and he struggled that year and now he is doing really well.

Yeah I get that. But for Ehlers (and his reasonable contract going forward) it would be worth it IMO

I agree. I’d rather not trade him, but if it gets you ehlers you do it
