he isn't the answer, but at 1/3 the cost of Ceci + a 4th line W + a 2nd rd pick and we also get a BU goalie with experience; its a piece to the puzzle

I would think a 2nd pair puck moving LHD + a 20-25 goal scoring LW (after you trade kreider), and a potential playmaking bottom 6 RW would be enough
especially when
a) at RHD between Trouba/Fox/Smith you have a top 3 (making $13.175M
b) you have Hajek / Lundkvist / K. Miller at coming
c) still have +$10m tied up in Staal/Skeij
d) aside from Panarin, who is your LW scoring coming from
e)if you eat some Staal $, Dermott fits in kinda nice as a #2 LHD #2PP guy

Why do some many think it wise to trade for the Leafs to trade more NHL Dmen that what they are receiving back in the trades shakes head

. Leafs lose in the trade for this season. Then the trade is really DeAngelo for Dermot and Johnsson starting next year.

It's not that it isn't enough. Of course there are more valuable pieces coming our way than to TOR. But TDA is the best player in this deal. The only piece that fills a need for us is Bracco in the sense that he's a wing prospect with potential upside. If I were trading TDA it would be a hockey trade for something we really need. Like a real 2C or a top end prospect.

Are we going to leave out most common linemates? Jesper Fast would also score at that rate with those linemates.

wanted to work the $ with Reilly not on LTIR
i'm happy with TD and sandin as 2/3 next year, but *IF* they want to sign muzzin it does make TD expendable
