if the TML 3rd was contingent on Tanev GP & re-signing i would seriously consider this as Dubas

JV is maybe a better fit on RW for the bottom 6, can still chip in 15 G
Tanev (when healthy) is an upgrade to Ceci, and can help make up the PK loss of KK
and get a pick in the 50-ish range

Pretty sure Leafs would make that deal. I think you could avoid all that though and look to NJ. To acquire Simmonds, and potentially Coleman along with him, you wouldn't have to fork up nearly as much NHL talent.

why would the Canucks do the Leafs trade? They are giving up the better forward and defenseman and they still have to give up a 2nd round pick. no way. this doesn't improve them and would these trades leave them with no picks in the first 3 rounds. no chance Benning mortgages the future like that. Van is on a roll right now and leads the pacific any add they do will be small to not mess up the chemistry
