Nucks fans, before you get crazy, I know it won't happen. I'm just trying to make a comparison here. Valuewise, is it that far off ? If Montreal add, you would ask what ?

That might be enough for Hughes alone. But Pettersson is gonna cost a lot more by himself than that

Hughes projects to be a #1 or #2 d-man and Pettersson projects to be (if isn't already) a #1C. Those don't come along often and don't get moved for 2 guys who haven't played in the league yet and one who has struggled since his rookie year. Nice try though

Kotkaniemi is project to be a #1 center and I said Pettersson > Romanov Caufield. One is project to be a #2-3 dman the other a 50 goals scorer ... but they need to prove it. + Kotkaniemi doesnt struggle, he's playing with Nick Cousins and Jordan Weal

That is an easy no and the Canucks block your number. I don't think there's any possible way you could package together enough 1st rounders and A prospects to make it work.

Kotkaniemi will be lucky to be a #2C. He hasn't shown anything so far that he'll be a top line guy. And LOL, Caufield won't touch 50. Mark my words. He'll hit at most 35 and be a second line guy. Your value is way off bud.

It's really hard to gauge. KK is in the NHL but not doing what EP is doing. It's tricky to compare with two players that we haven't seen in the NHL yet no matter how high their stock is. Pure futures (mostly) compared to established top players for a team is lobsided I think. Caulfield from KK and Romanov may be a goal that's recorded often so it could be ok valuewise.

KK is the seventh youngest player in the league. Most of players are in the AHL or in Europe at his age. Give him time before judging. And Caufield will be a great scorer. Will he reach the 50 goals ? We will see, but based on comparable for NCAA players at his age, we have reason to think its possible.

Back to my question at first. What need to be add valuewise for montreal to say the deal it's fair ?

That is an emotional answer. We all know this deal won't happen. So from an objective perspective, what do you think need to be add from MTL side to have a deal that is fair, valuewise? Those two guys won't objectively worth this package plus 5-6 1st round pick and you know that.

Nothing. Smart teams don't trade a 1C and a future 1dman. Not to mention that Pettersson will probably be the 2nd best player in the league in 2-3 years.

Montreal doesn't have the assets to pull off that kinda trade. No team does. Not even McDavid would be worth that actually

There is nothing you could add to make it work. You can't just trade for 2 franchise players from another team.

It's 2 guys from Vancouver who have pretty much proved they're studs and are gonna be studs where the Montreal guys are all high prospect but unproven. If the Vancouver guys were 30 then I get the choice but they're both kids.

Montreal would have to add this years 2020 1st, Josh Brook and Max Domi.
Romanov doesn't have much value.. Cole could be good but not every 5'9" player will be Johnny hockey, he has potential still who knows what he will be. Jesperi is still young but so is Hughes who as a D already has more points this year (in less games) than Jesperi did last year.. And Pettersson well, he is looking like a franchise player.. a comparable trade for EP alone refer to Eric Lindros trade from Nordiques.. then on top of that add something similar for Hughes.

Oh man... No. I cant really think of any possible way we would trade either guy right now. The team and locker room is gelling really well in Van right now, there would be no point in doing something like this. Not for a longgg time.

I'm no Canooks fan but this post is horse-bleep j_m...
50-year anny-v of soggy futility and you trade or wanna evaluate the next two home-grown, ultra-talented faces of the franchise...w t fook!
Why bother - Habs are gonna be in the lottery...
Were you one of those blokes 30-days ago calling for Bennings and Greens head-on-a-pike too?

there was nothing rationale about it.Habs would have to add multiple 1st round picks add webber, mete and Suzuki then they would have to take back Loui and Sutter for Van to even consider trading those 2 guys
even if van was to trade one of their franchise level players it would gut the Habs just look at previous such trades
only way van does a trade like this is if Bergevin has compromising photos of Benning Vancouver owners as leverage
