I think the trades are reasonable for both teams .. and the title is accurate .. Tampa frees up the 11M annually for Gourde/Johnson .. not counting adds.. distributes money to Cirelli and Serg .. that IS how you keep people .. Cernek is the one on the bubble.to me .. by the way he was great last night against Kings .. funny stat .. Gourde hasnt missed a game since November and Saturday is FEBRUARY so he has 1 January game left or he will be on his 3RD MONTH OF NO GOALS .. I dare anyone to defend him

His contract's the only major mistake Stevie Y made as the TBL GM

I'm curious to know how you convince Gourde to waive for Detroit ?

God I hope Detroit passes on that. Gourde is 28 and has 5 more seasons @ just over $5M per. Maybe if he was 24 or 25 but his best years are behind him now. Plus he won't waive to go to Detroit thank god.

You will have to add an asset to have another team even consider a trade for Gourde 5 X 5.16 are a lot of reasons why. Tyler NTC, have to convince him and look for minimal return. All teams are aware of our cap issues and there are no friends....

Recall .. Gourde NTC is for only next 2 years.. 10M .. Tiny Tyler only has 1 year left on full NTC .. 5M ..

Oh, and the Cap prob won’t go passed 83, most GMs are planning for 82.5 according to the athletic

The Lightning were lucky that JTM’s NTC didn’t kick in until July 1 last year. This year they will not be as lucky.
