WOW!!! Really? I like Eichel a lot but I don't think that's enough to get him out of Buffalo. Plus that is more than Detroit can afford to give up for one player. They just don't have enough good pieces to give up 5 of them on 1 player even if that one player was McDavid. This trade could make Detroit worse next season than they are now. I have only seen one player with the ability to carry a team to the cup finals and that was Hasek. With the salary cap and how close the teams are now I don't even think he could do it in todays NHL.

I agree completely but at the same time the Wings would be in worse shape than they are in now.

I know this is all for fun and this offer would never be considered obviously... but i do think you could make an interesting offer if you include Detroit's 2020 1st...

The trade would have to happen by the trade deadline this year... but it's still safe to say that even Eichel wouldn't be able to pull detroit out of last place.

So the Sabres gamble on the lottery by trading Eichel for the 1st, Larkin, Mantha, and Cholowski or something crazy like that.

Never gonna happen, but it's fun to think about. Honestly it'd be more interesting than our current team and situation

brutal trade for DET, Mantha is debatably better than Eichel by himself, much less two unprotected firsts, at least one of which is likely a lotto pick, two somewhat close to NHL ready forward specs, one with good top 6 potential, and an NHL ready top 4 d pot spec
