That the end of that Henrique contract is going to be gross.... he’s going to be 30 in about a week and going to be 35 when his contract is up. Is that really worth trading Anderson(yes he’s had a very down year, probably due to injury) and Milano(who’s been solid this season when he’s had the opportunity to play)? I’m not sure. I think if we are to make that trade Wennberg is going to have to go the other way as part of the package to offset the cap for next season.

Relax. The only guy on your roster that we're interested in (because we're being realistic) is David Savard, and I doubt that you're moving him.

But if you're in the market for giving him or Seth Jones away, give us a call.

Maybe Savard at next seasons deadline if we are out of the playoff picture... but I’m guessing a lot of teams would want to talk Savard, so he wouldn’t be cheap.

This thought process is annoying. He’ll only be 35 at the end of this contract. ONLY. People act like players can’t play past 30 anymore.

He’s on pace for about 25 goals. A 25 goal 2C is a pretty nice piece.

Idc too much about the trade but when the biggest argument against is a player will be 35 at the end of his contract, it’s annoying. Not to mention there will be 3rd liners making 5M in the relative near future. Whose to say that his cap percentage at the end of his contract is even significant when there’s a TV deal coming soon? People look at the 5M+ contracts and freak out but the salary cap continues to increase and will get a significant jump in one of the first couple season after the new TV deal.

On average a player starts to decline at the age of 32. He has 29 goals in his prime. That’s great and if he fits in Anaheim’s future plans that’s great. Keep him. I’d rather keep Wennberg and see if he can figure it out.

The thing about the contract is that Columbus needs the cap space next year to resign then it RFAs. It’ll be close as it is and that’s without adding a 5+ mil contract. The two we are teading are middle 6 wings and will combine for about 4 based on performances this year.

Honestly keep him please. We do not want him.
