*Just an opinion, feedback/comments/discussion appreciated

It seems like Muzz is going to resign and I like having him on the roster but I get a feeling that this contract could go wrong if the term is too long. I personally would go max. 4 years, which still takes him to 35 but I dont think he resigns for anything less. A salary between 5.25-6M seems reasonable. The biggest issue though is that Muzz is a LHD. Rielly, Muzzin, and Sandin down the left side leaves dermott the odd man out. I hear he is able to play the right, but it doesn't seem ideal. I think dermott is great but if we can package him with Johnsson/Kerfoot/Kappy for a solid RHD (Dumba/Manson) I think Dubas should pull the trigger.

Pretty much on the spot, im crossing my fingers for 4 x 5,3M which im giving him in my simulations for a year now....

about the trades, you need to revert both picks.....

I like you idea of Manson or Dumba sending a Dermott and Johnsson or Kapenen or Kerfoot package, just not right now, offseason yes, but at this moment we will feel and miss Dermott on the left until Rielly is back and the way Dermott is playing and the additional minutes is only upping his trade value in the offseason

Kings easily decline that trade. They're rebuilding and not looking to trade away draft picks. They can get a 2nd round pick for Campbell from a team looking for a potential starter.

I don't know if being left or right handed matters as much as the media makes it.

I’m not sure on the money but the 4yr term seems to be a sure fire. Is muzzin the type of guy to take less to stay? I would like to think so but I have been wrong about that so far.

I like Manson over Dumba. A) for the term and $$ value on him B) Dumba's underlying stats show that he's pretty run-n-gun more like Rielly.

This is a Manson trade I could live with. I'd prefer adding some futures instead of Dermott maybe the CBJ 3rd and a prospect like Duszak or Hollowell.

I don't think Campbell's the answer and it would take more than that to pull him out of LA. I'd prefer to see a trade for Stalock or that we sign Timur Bilyalov at the end of this season.

I would bet that if it's a 4 year term it's at least at 6mil

That may be a deal breaker. Certainly wouldn’t have ntc outside of 4 years.

I'm with you man - I'm anti resign Muzzin for this reason if you follow the trends in D-man signings it just seems like he won't sign for anything lower than 5.5 and that's pushing it I think. I would bet that the deal will be 5 years at 6mil.
