I wasn't thinking of Kaprizov, everything lists him as a LW/RW. Khovanov is listed as a center on everything including the Moncton Wildcats website, so please excuse the misinformation. I have to believe what you say since I do not have the luxury of watching him myself.
Are you saying his future is at LW or are you saying he always plays LW and he is just listed incorrectly?
So what do you see when you watch him? What's his game like?
Sorry I re-read this it seems harsh, not meant to be I'm more in a state of confusion now.
Essentially he's able to slow the game down to his level with ease .
His skating ability is a large part of his success as it puts him is solid position to shoot.
Khonanov got a beautiful shot but he's not a pure sniper
AK is known more for collecting his own rebounds taking shots from the top of the hash marks and closing quick .
His hands become on full display that this point as he's able to shoot pucks at full speed with accuracy .
My favorite was this weird like chip it did when he tried do the shot with the stick between the legs .
it hit the defending player behind the net then hit the opposing goalie and in . (sure it was just an exhibition game but still cool to see)
if i had to compare him to anyone i guess Mikael Granlund when he was in MIN and his value was untainted.
He's capable of taking draws but sucks at winning them , smart and tactical like Granlund to but im not sure if his skill level is Granlund level hands wise but its close .
the more i talk the more i realize they'll likely want him for fill the gaping whole Granlund left . (assuming he doesnt come home as a UFA)
