Whata the point of paying muzzin all that just to play on the 3rd pair? That carter trade is garbage

Sandin is about 2-3 years of development away from passing Muzzin

It's not that I think he's better than muzzin I just think these pairings would be the best for the team.

Carter isn't getting traded because A) He wants to stay in LA and B) He's not better than Spezza and has another year of term. If LA trades him, its a cap dump and would cost them to move him.

I don't think you've seen Sandin play, but it is nice to see someone giving Muzzin his due praise.

I have seen Sandin play, I live in the GTA, everything is Leafs here. He is a promising young player with top pairing potential. Solid offensively but like most defense around his age, still has a lot to learn in his own end. He will likely follow a similar career to Valimaki on my favourite team (once he's healthy ofc)

I think he may have surpassed Valimaki already, I think Sandin could be closer to some of other top young defenceman in the league. He's not just an offensive player, he has so much poise, still needs to get bigger and stronger but much of that comes with development and getting older. His poise though is that of a player way beyond his age.

None of those trades look good, and Dermott is not a pairing D.

Saying he's passed Valimaki is a tough call to make when the guy is out for 9 months due to an ACL injury. Despite loosing to Colorado fast last year, Valimaki was a stud the last 2 weeks and the 1st round
