The Blues aren't doing that. We're not trading our 2020 1st or Kostin for a rental, and the last thing we need is more centers.

You're getting closer. 1st + Kostin for Kreider works...

Drop Hajek and you about have Georgiev's value.

That Winnipeg deal though is nonsense

The amount of a-level prospects you add to these trades are insane. You'd do well even if you removed Kostin and Vesa tbh

I think the Rick Nash trade has destroyed the thought process on rentals for rangers fans. they should be looking at zuccarello's return when they come up with a Kreider trade. But I guess Pierre Lebrun has created facts with his speculation.

absolutely not. Zucc was 33 and it was clear to whomever team he went to he wouldnt stay. Krieder is a top 6 high forward one of the fastest in the league, also being 6,3 thats 28, that plays a physical game, also is a leader has his value. Thats fine if you wont pay it NYR will simply go to someone else who will and people are lining up.

Who cares how old they are for the next 6 months? You're not investing in his future. Hence, why invest so much? I just don't see teams willing to part with their top-tier prospects AND the 1st.

Ya i would agree, that was a horrible trade for Boston and i think Bruins fans would agree. I am in hopes of signing Kreider but in terms of his return its going to be similar to Kevin Hayes.

Can't see a team parting with a TOP prospect and a first. For example, since you are a blues fan. Kyrou and a First would be an overpayment.

Kreider is great, but if the prospect is *that* good, look more towards the Mark Stone trade, who's an even better player

Kyrou is already more valuable to us than Kreider, all things considered. The way I see it, Perunovich, Kostin, and Alexandrov are too promising to attach to a 1st for a rental. They may not be considered top prospects around the league but they aren't toss-ins to a deal like that.

The jest aren’t trading all that for pieces that won’t really move the needle for us. Rather just keep the youth and regroup for next year

NYR and TML fans truly over value their players, especially their rentals imo.

There is no way the Blues would send Kostin (or any top tier prospect) and a first round pick for a rental! In all realism, you are more likely to get a deal that looks like a 2nd pick and a bottom 6 player (Sanford, Barbashev etc) for a rental. I'm not suggesting that package would be for Kreider but IF the Blues look to add a rental at the deadline, it'll be a similar package to that and not selling off our prospect pool.

In the Blues pipeline, he actually is. He will more than likely be with the club next season so I would consider that a top tier prospect. Good effort though.

that's not how ranking prospects work. he wouldn't break the top 10 under 21 yrs old prospects for the rangers.

Why do you hate st louis? We don't even think about New York. https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/columns/joe-holleman/stl-scores-high-again-in-tap-water-quality/article_883206c6-d499-531a-be9e-bbfb550107d6.html
