Don't really like the Gourde trade. I'm open to taking a cap dump for picks IF the deal expires this summer. I don't really want to have Gourde, Abdelkader, and Nielsen all on the same time for the next few years. Gourde is definitely better than Nielsen and Abdelkader, but definitely not worth his contract. And to get him we are giving up Hirose, who is an actual prospect, and are only moving up probably 10 spots. Not worth it in my eyes, this is a clear win for TB. I like the AA trade, and most people on this site have agreed that it's probably a pretty fair deal. Me personally I wouldn't move Glendening for a 4th. Glendening is probably one of the best players in the NHL for what he does, he's a great example for the young kids with is work ethic as well as being a leader in the locker room, and a great hometown kid story. And he's on a very team friendly deal, and his next deal probably will be as well. I wouldn't give that up for a measly 4th round pick that statistically speaking will most likely never pan out to anything. Don't really like the Perlini trade either, as Benn is a UFA this summer. If we really wanted him, just wait till July and sign him then, why trade an asset for him at the deadline? If we trade Perlini which im very open to do so, either make it for picks or in a package deal in some other trade. I like most of your contracts, all the important ones at least. Mantha will probably get closer to $6M, and I would prefer to not give him a bridge deal. He's 25 years old. Let's lock him up long-term, hes as a big a part of this core as anybody. Also IMO Stutzle/Rossi > Raymond. They both have 1C potential, which obviously Raymond does not. Just my opinion on your moves, take it for what its worth.

I like gourde as a player and while i like hirose i dont see him as more of 3rd liner. i think gourde is less of a cap dump than most people, he is just buried on that roster. Sure hes overpaid for sure. Benn is jyst another guy there are plenty of guys like him i just dont value perlini

To be fair I havent watched a lot of Gourde. And I don't value Perlini very highly either, but we did give up a legit prospect who was having a solid season for him, so if we could get something useful for him at least it would be better in my mind. And I agree on Hirose, he is a 3rd line skill guy/2nd PP guy, but at 24 at not $5M he can do mostly the same stuff.
