Lebrun posted that a deal with LA for CGY would be Ruzicka a 2nd and a Cond. 4th. Would a deal for Kreider be as simple as upgrading those picks?

rangers want what they got from Hayes, so a 1st and probably Magipaine is the closet to the 1st and B Lemieux return. TO me that feels way too much for Kreider

I don’t understand how anyone with stable mental status could assume a player like Kreider is worth less than a first-round pick.

His comparable would be the Evander Kane trade from 18. That was a 1st, a 4th, and an AHL contract to get them compliant. I don't see NY getting more than that this season.

He just took a knee to the dome. at most before that he was worth a sole first. no more than that. his career HIGH is mid 50s point wise. thats a low end top 6 forward.

That first was conditional on Kane resigning - was a second at the time of the trade.

You are right. The way it is worded in the original trade write up screwed me up. So yah, that makes the Rick Nash trade the last true 1st for a rental and that was a total poop show.

No Winnipeg did give up a 1st for Hayes - that also ended up being poopy which is why teams are starting to learn that a 1st is too much to pay for most rentals.
