It is. But remember that you also get a late pick back.
Also, teams overpay at the TDL.
Plus, the picks will likely be late so...

If you take out the 2nd and the 3rd then I think the Oilers consider it.

Only way Montreal trades Tatar is if its a huge overpayment. So I don't think anything proposed here will be close enough, and rightfully Edmonton fans will say Montreal fans are asking for too much. I just don't see Tatar being traded by Montreal at this point without a crazy deal being offered.

I don't think this is true. I've read / heard his name in trade chatter, so it seems they'd consider moving him.

Montreal has no reason to trade him this year. He has another year on his cheap contract and is our points and goal leader. Bergevin has been quoted as saying he wants this team to be in the playoffs next year. Trading Tatar for market value or less makes no sense to Montreal. There is chatter because Bergevin will listen, but he isn't being shopped.
