I think the value is pretty close to what MTL would be asking. it was reported that they'd be looking for something similar to what DET got (1st + 2nd + 3rd), and this is a 1st + prospect that was a 2nd + 4th.

in the end though I think Habs should keep Tatar and resign him. offensively he just clicks with Gallagher and Danault and truly make one of the best 5 on 5 lines in hockey, if they want more picks and prospects, I'd move Petry.

fair enough. while I disagree that its one of the best 5V5 lines on hockey I agree they do click.

its an underrated line, but its nowhere near the level of some of these lines

I knew the Malkin line was good but no idea they were that good. Not surprised either. Such a shame Guentzel got hurt for the rest of the season or this team really could’ve challenged for the Stanley cup.
