Draft plan

Description
So my thinking is try to get another first round pick at almost any cost. I have seen a lot of mock drafts lately with the hawks sitting around #10 which is frustrating for the team
I know these trades are probably a bit skewed but I really want to know everyone thoughts on a few players
I have been yelling for Lucas Raymond or Alexander Holtz but if we draft #9 we have been mocked to Askarov
I actually think this would be great for our rebuild and wanted to see everyone else’s thoughts on drafting Askarov this year.

#7 Montreal Dylan Halloway ( I believe to be a fairly pure two way center) or Anton Lundell (strong skating high end forward)
#9 hawks pick - Askarov (franchise Goalie)
#14 Toronto - Dawson Mercer (great top 6 RW could be a huge compliment to storme and DeBrincat) or Noel Gunler (fast and never stops shooting)
#22 Carolina - William Wallinder (my favorite LHD in the draft) or Mavrik Bourque (underrated high end LW)

Players I’m begging Stan (or our new GM hopefully) to ignore in the draft please;
Hendrix Lapierre
Marco Rossi
Drysdale
Brendan Brisson

Let me know what everyone thinks on who we should pick if we had these options. Realistically we could have one if Toronto or Carolina so it’s something we need to consider.

Why no Drysdale?
Because of him or positional needs?

I’ve done minimal research on the draft class this year, but I too really like Holtz and Raymond, but at this point they both look unlikely.

I’m not a fan of Askarov, goalies are always a huge risk and while his upside is huge, I’d rather look elsewhere to fix the goalie issue.

Gustaffson is a rental UFA
so you trade a guy drafted 27 overall for a top 10 pick?
The draft is in montreal as well.
No go.

I don't want to move Beaudin. He's a solid prospect and someone that's been vocal about willing to put the time in Rockford to be the best NHLer possible. I've been impressed with him. Gus can go to a playoff team and alone can get a 2nd rounder plus. Keep him mind that 7th Dmen have received 3rd round picks regularly. Send Gus to Vegas and grab the NJD 2nd. It's practically a 1st anyway...in a deep draft...and you don't need to lose Beaudin.

I also would not be spending a draft pick on Askarov that early. If he fell to 14 - 20 ...then I'd think about it. Still need to worry about the fact that he plays for SKA St. Petersberg. It's not likely they'll just let him walk that easily.

No problem because both Rossi and Drysdale will be taken before the #7 overall pick anyways Drysdale #5 Rossi #6 more then likely.

We have a perfectly good Alexis Gravel coming up in the minors. No need to waste a top 10 pick on a Russian MAYBE good goalie
