I 100% agree with trading Henrik instead of Georgiev but I just don't see him waiving his NMC

It’s a tough situation for him. At this point the fans would be ok with him going for a cup. I don’t want to lose georgiev. Could see a 1A/1B situation like the ducks had with Gibson/Anderson and then move one down the road when Huska or Wall are ready to step in. Tough for him to waive with his family, love for team and city. Could only see Toronto or Colorado

This would make Dubas's life a nightmare this off season. If I were a Leafs fan...I'd rather sell @ the TDL than acquire Hank.

Would be a big commitment. Could even flip him in the offseason if they wanted. Be a tough sell to the fans if they start unloading some guys and miss the playoffs

What's the harder sell? This year we've had injuries of length to Rielly, Tavares, Marner, Muzzin, and Anderson...thus making our run pretty improbably...lets go and get some assets for these pending UFAs for the long term health of the Leafs? OR We traded for Hank and now have $4.5M for a backup goalie...and can't sign any of the defensemen we want to sign in the off season? I'd argue the later is about a grand canyon harder than the former.
