Gally doesn't have more value than Lemieux did... He's older, paid a f*** ton more and isn't under contract past this year

New York wouldn't give up a pick for Galchenyuk. He would be included in the deal simply as a salary dump.

It's Kreider for a 1st + Hallander. It's real simple...There might even be an added conditional pick for resign, but it starts at a 1st + Hallander.

Rental Wingers don't get 1st round picks unless it is contingent on signing an extension. Kreider won't get that.

Kreider is the biggest name left on the market. The only reason why NYR shouldn't get 1st back is if they want an A prospect included

Name one player atop TSN's trade bait list that hasn't gotten a 1st round pick.. even as a rental... i'll give a pretty decent wavelength on the prospect (Galchenyuk is a pending UFA having a terrible season and doesn't count) but the 1st rounder will have to be a necessity. Especially if there are 8 teams really gunning for kreider

The only one I can think of was Stone, but not only was he resigned by Vegas after the deal, he got Brannstrom (a top 25 prospect) and a 2nd round pick. I think that's a lot more than a late 1st rounder and a b prospect..

Do people think last year's market (with arguably 8 UFA top 6 F's) is indicative of trade values this year?

People are in for a surprise lol.

We're merely 2 years removed from an oft-injured Rick Nash at 33 making 7+mil putting up a worse scoring rate than Kreider returning a 1st + recent 2nd round pick + middle 6 player

LeBrun has the return as 1st AND Kyrou. 1st + Hallander is the low end of the return lol.

Pretty sure everyone and their dog can agree that Rick Nash trade is an outlier.. basing your 2020 TDL on that trade is just as inaccurate lol..
