Final Rebuild Selloff

Created by: Rayjb159
Team: 2019-20 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 4, 2020
Published: Feb. 4, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The below are trades based on beat writer rumors and past trends with explanations behind each trade.
Trades
1.
NYR
  1. Kyrou, Jordan
  2. 2020 1st round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
Blues get a speedy power forward that fits well into their physical system and can generate offense in Tarasenko's absence for another cup run
STL
  1. Kreider, Chris ($2,300,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Admittedly, this is a high price to pay for Kreider but with as much as 8 teams currently bidding for him, the current price of a 1st and B prospect will go up to an A prospect which is what we see in this trade.
2.
NYR
  1. Bracco, Jeremy
  2. 2020 2nd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
The Rangers were never going to get a 1st round pick or elite prospect for Georgiev but this is an excellent haul. A 2nd round pick in a deep draft and a solid forward prospect in a position they lack depth is as good as they can hope for
TOR
  1. Georgiev, Alexandar
Additional Details:
With Andersen now injured, the Leafs are in desperate need of a solid goalie since they have no depth at this position. Bracco currently doesn't have a spot on the roster with all of the elite forwards the Leafs have so he becomes expendable
3.
NYR
  1. Puljujärvi, Jesse [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
Oilers add a well rounded player with playoff experience that can help them anywhere in their lineup. 6th round pick sweetener added to even up any value discrepancy
EDM
  1. Fast, Jesper
  2. 2020 6th round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Rangers add another high ceiling project that can help with the rebuild
4.
NYR
  1. 2020 3rd round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
This trade occurs in the offseason where the Rangers create a roster space and relieve some cap
OTT
  1. Andersson, Lias
  2. Smith, Brendan ($2,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Senators love deals like this because they get a depth defenseman after his last bonus payment for half the price. They also get a center prospect that is in desperate need of a scenery change

The first trade is LeBrun, the others I have read as suggestions from a few beat writers

All these make sense, but i like the first two and hope we dont do the last two. Pulju seems to be another head case like Andersson. Andersson might regain some value playing over in Europe but players like him shouldn't be rewarded playing time and/or trades immediately after possible franchise harming actions. Not sure exactly what he was dealing with yet but from the time he threw his silver medal into the stands it was obvious that he had some mentality issues.
