Description

As a fan of both teams I like this deal. Leafs haters undervalue Johnsson and he is an immediate top 6 option for the sens, wouldn't be shocking to see him get 60+ points there. As much as OTT will want a 1st for Pageau they'll probably get a 2nd and a prospect for him, + they can try and resign Pageau in the offseason or trade for his rights at the draft. They get a nice roster player out of this and some depth options. Not bad in my opinion. Knowing TOR will 95% qualify and resign DeMelo guarantees them a 2nd rounder. Everyone talks about need for RHD but 3C is weak for leafs. + I'm not sure Dubas wants to go after a RHD who will take up too much cap space next year, as all signs point to him trying to sign Pietrangelo.
