i mean, i guess tanking for Lafernier is an option, but then why would the leafs be taking on a guy who is as bad as Ceci on his best day with an extra year of cap hit?

Why are the Leafs paying for the privilege of paying again to move Gudbranson once they have acquired him?

Guddy isnt the greatest player in the world or anything but the guy is leagues better than ceci if you played them both as a 3rd pairing role. Ceci sucks, guddy is still serviceable at least

like i said, he is exactly as serviceable as cody ceci, which is minimally. And he's got another year on his deal after this one. He sucks and adding him wont help anything this year and will hurt next year.

Youre right on the fact that it would be a stupid move by the leafs for sure, but im trying to say he is more serviceable than ceci not as serviceable as him. Ceci does not belong in the NHL, guddy has been doing good enough to not be a total liability in Anaheim every shift.

no, Gudbranson is bad, very very very bad. Just because Anahiem plays him a regular shift does not change that, i mean ceci gets a regular shift in toronto and he sucks. The both suck and I dont want either playing for the team i cheer for, especially not for an extra year.

Everyone blames Guddy, he played well in a limited role with the penguins. It's all how you use him.
He's under rated as a defenseman. People really dislike him because of the contract. It's kind of like Jack Johnson. If JJ contract was 1.5 million a year, not nearly a word would be said. And the same could be said true for Gudbranson. People would be looking to add them to their teams.
I think he's an upgrade over Ceci. But I don't think TOR would ever figure out how to use him.
