We got Scandella for a 4th so if we can have a 4th back I would be happy lol

I dont really care about the pick tbh. A 4th or a 7th is the same thing because we suck at drafting in the late rounds anyway lol

I would think the Jets come away pretty good with the PIT deal. Don't know if PIT would do it.
MTL deal is fair. The Scandella acquisition for them is now a wash.
PoMo seems to like Beaulieu, not sure why they'd deal him. But fair value on the trade.
As a Jets fan, I'd be pleased with this outcome.

Yeah idk. Saw it earlier form Pittsburgh fans so...
It’s a little steep but makes sense for them. They get depth, a good prospect, and a 3rd for a cap dump and a first

And I would imagine that the idea of Tanev playing with Lowry again would be enticing.
But I do think the Jets should be trying to acquire assets, like a first rounder, at this point. The team seems to play with a ton of heart regardless. They should at least be in the playoff hunt until near the end of the season.

Exactly this trade keeps them in the hunt imo and heat that first. While the pens can make more moves on the side as they have space

Awefully small city for galchenyuk if the rumours are true of his partying ways, but I never mind a gamble that adds a first and possibly a Tatar type rebound. If you move Lowry would be nice to add a non punching bag that can play a regular shift, especially if beaulieu headed out of town also, like the heart pionk and ehlers have shown, but would prefer if they kept there gloves on and scheifele could use a guy that can handle himself not too far away. Is a 4 million Scandella that much of a upgrade over sbisa and beaulieu? After all that i like the pit trade even if there’s a little added if need be.

That Pens trade would be outrageously good for the Jets, a 1st for Lowry... ?

Habs would gladly take this at the TDL if they look to be just as out of it as they are now. Frankly, i'd do this even if we're only 5 points back.

It was a first and a bust of a prospect for us for Reaves and a 2nd. Had the hawks not taken Jokiharju ahead of us, then that trade is never made. And every team has made bad trades in the past. That doesn’t mean they are going to have a bad trade every time they make one. It’s not like Chiarelli is the pens GM lol

The first round pick is a little steep. I’d much rather drop the first and 3rd round picks and the pens pay a lesser draft pick.

Thanks for the clarification, it was just burned in my mind as reaves for a 1st. Just like the idea of filling the cupboard for the jets over buying anyone over the age of 27

Yeah at the end of the day it ended up being a complete bust for the pens as the player we got with that 2nd rounder already retired with concussion issues. And it was great for the blues getting Kostin and Sundqvist finding his game with the blues.

That’s why I said he was a bust for the pens. And not just a bust in general lol.
