NSH - but why? Pass. Not giving up Tolvanen for a rental, especially being out of the playoffs currently.

This is a perfect summary of everything I see from leaf ACGMs:
“You have something we really want, so were going to package you a whooooole bunch of things that we don’t really want, or could do without, but nothing we really don’t want to give up!”
Everyone else: “well, you’re going to have to give up something of value to get—“
Leaf ACGM: “but that player we’re trading for isn’t THAT good anyway.”

That is a bit unfair. Johnsson and Kapanen are middle-6 wingers with cost-controlled contracts who, if not for injuries this season, would be among Minnesota's top scorers and the 2nd and 3rd rounders hold value. The sticking point is Staal. I'm sure one of those W and the picks gets a Dumba deal done.

Nope neither of them do it, I'll take Burke's word over a fans word 95% of the time. A young top pair talent like Dumba isn't moved for anything less then a 1st liner. Let me ask you this, would you trade Rielly for Kapanen a 2nd and a 3rd?

The Wild aren't in the market for wings, they need centers.

My assessment is this: reread everything above and commit it to memory, then add the fact that the Wild organization is stacked to the rafters with middle 6 wings and you can start to understand why this deal makes no sense for the Wild.

Probably if I had the defensive depth and lack of offense that Minny has, also DUMBA is a step below Rielly not equal to.

Stacked with middle 6 wingers? More like have a few, also have basically no Top 6 F - Zuccarello is a middle 6 winger everywhere. Parise dead, Staal retires in a year, Fiala is Kapenen. I do agree Kapenen is not the player Minny should target they really need a 1/2C which DUMBA plus will get. But to say Minny has no use for Kapenen or Kapenen would be a third liner in Minny is nonsense. Kapenen would challenge and has the talent to take the top RW spot from Zuccarello

laugh laugh Since when is a pending UFA in Tyson Barrie worth Eeli Tolvanen? Barrie wants $8 million per the very last thing the Preds need is a $8 million dollar Dman and no way in hell is Georgiev worth Tolvanen who's a first round pick get real.

Well according from several insiders that's what he's seeking, Not saying he'll get that much but that's what he's seeking on his next deal.

Stacked? Fiala and Zucker are good, I grant you but a bunch of aging wingers producing at about the same clip as Kapanen, a 23-year-old winger making $3.2M. That's stacked? I don't know, man.

By stacked I mean they don’t need any more middle 6 wingers - as in, that’s all they have.
