Nervous about giving that much future up for Petry. Otherwise I would likely approve all those trades.

It would also make me nervous.
But with so many LHD prospects (Stanley, Heinola, Samberg, Chisholm) and with not a ton of room in the top 6 for Ves (I don't see him being a bottom 6 guy, but I could be wrong), cashing on a guy who can eat minutes on the right side could prove to be a catalyst.
Are there any other RHD you'd rather make this trade for?

Stanley is far down on the jets D depth charts now. Vesalainen has good middle 6 potential now but Petry is a big boost to the jets for the next 2 seasons while heinola, samburg and chisholm develop.

I approve of all these trades. Miller is an interesting choice. He’s cheap and could be good for us. Since both these trades get made now, you basically look at petry as having 1 year left and Miller 2. Good stop gaps for Heinola, Samberg and Chisholm.

I like it.

Exactly. The contracts of both work out perfectly with our prospects. This give Heinola and samburg a chance to log big minutes in the ahl and dominate. They both will be there for injuries as well.

Forget Miller if we are getting Petry...

JoMo - Petry
Kulikov - Pionk
Niku - Poolman

Miller is a RD not a LD.

Forgot about Injurikov!

Has miller played the L side?? If not might as well just avoid that trade and then just resign Beaulieu for a year.

This is for this year....Miller doesnt play LD, so he is either benched or BUF plays with 7 D

I don't like the Petry trade for the Jets, would rather use those assets with more/different assets to get Domi, this team desperately needs a 2C that fits in age wise with there window to win. Wheeler is too old to continue at center and who knows what Little will be like whenever he returns, I'm sure he'll be a great 3C though at the very least.

Really like the idea of buying low on Miller though, Chevy should really be inquiring about him.

As per LeBrun Petry's in demand (A lot), you don't want to spend your 1st this year that I can understand. 1st rounders will be offered -most likely- if he's indeed the number 1 dman on the market so if you want to beat it you'll need to give assets, I'll ask for a sure shot like Samberg.

My concerns would be paying Miller north of 3 if he's gonna be the 3rd pairing RSD. I see Pionk and Poolman ahead of him on the depth chart.

Poolman and miller could both play in the top 4. We have also payed myers and Kulikov to play on the bottom paid so miller who is actually good at 3.5 is fine
