you will likely need to retain on Kreider no matter the destination - but all in all, they seem reasonable enough returns. I'm still not convinced Strome gets a 1st though - adding the 3rd helps at least.

Fair enough I figured the avs need secondary scoring I was gonna send kreider there way but figured strome at 3c would give them more depth then what they have now

I don’t think he gets a first for him straight up that’s why the 3rd came into play he’s been carried all season but who knows if a gm is Desperate enough for a player at the deadline they’ll move a first if that’s the asking price but I think a second and maybe another pick or player does it

secondary scoring is not really an issue. If the price is right they would add a winger like Kreider, but a 3C like Strome is just buring assets that dont fit a need or role.
they could use a 3C who is a true defensive shut down type C. Strome doesnt fill that role at all, and hes not going to take Kadris 2C role, nor would be break up the chemistry of that line

Yea I’m not the best on prospects That aren’t in my own teams pipeline so I generally avoid trading for them if you have any recommendations of layers you’d like to acquire I’m all ears

If you were the avs what would you give up for kreider? More then what Edmonton is offering?

Its already rumoured that Sakic doesnt like the price for Kreider and has is snooping around on other guys that fits with what he wants to spend at the Deadline.

I really can’t imagine kreiders price being more then a first and a b level prospect but if they avs are out I’d want to see him go to Edmonton since well they’re the oilers and they can always crash and burn and the rangers have another lottery pick

I dont see Oilers and Kreider being a fit, he has said he doesnt want to play in Canada, would assume edmontons on his NTC list and really hard to say if he would waive it to be a rental there

I really do see him going to Boston or St Louis

I don’t want to see him end up in Boston I would hate every second of it st Louis I would like. But personally I’d trade kreider to a bubble team so you can have the guarantee of getting a first and if they miss the playoffs then boom lottery pick from a rangers standpoint I want another solid year of drafting players

the flaw in your plan is bubble teams trading their 1st, teams in that position wont be keen on trading them, and if they do they will have conditions to slide it to next year if they miss the playoffs
