Bouchard is further along in his development and probably has more value for that reason.

However I think Broberg has a higher ceiling.

Neither is getting traded.

Bouchard is miles better, has a much higher ceiling, and way lower bust risk

I actually disagree, I think Broberg’s skating ability and size (which can’t be taught) make him a higher ceiling prospect as he’s still raw enough to develop the rest.

You’re right though he is far more likely to bust as he’s so far away, while Bouchard has been playing a pro style game for a long time and playing it well.

I think he's still a few years out and that significantly hurts his ceiling imo, like he just hasn't been that impressive from what I've seen this year

I’m assuming you only saw him at the world juniors when they put him on the shut down pair. It’s tough to make evaluations based on that tournament. (However if you’ve seen more then that I’m sorry for assuming).

What we know is that his a huge dude that was probably the best if not second best skater in that whole draft, he’s a smart player that’s still learning the game. He was the youngest player in the draft and is playing 20 minutes a night in the top Swedish league at 18, which Klefbom didn’t even do.

The offensive game may never develop into a PP qb or Makar kind of scorer but he’s incredibly rounded.

We’re literally basically just waiting for him to get his man strength at this point.

Yeah I've seen him in the SHL (I hate it when people evaluate players off only tournaments lol) and you'd better hope some iq comes with that man strength, he has all the talent (skating, good hands, decent shot etc) but doesn't seem to use them as well as he can

Bouchard is also 6'3 and is described as a smooth-skating mobile dman

Not sure where you saw that description? Skating has been the knock on him since his draft year. He’s a great passer with a cannon of a shot and incredibly sharp hockey mind, but he’s at best average speed likely below, calling him a mobile defensemen is totally inaccurate.

He’s a big boy but he’s not the least bit aggressive either, he uses he’s size to shield pucks and win battles but less for knocking other players over or off pucks.

I love Bouch I don’t want it to sound like I’m discounting him, I just think that realistically Broberg has more raw skill and a higher ceiling, but Bouchard is still a better player and has a higher floor.
