Um mark stone was an unrestricted free agent at the time, Nylander is not, Mark stone was 27, Nylander is 22, Mark Stone was signed for 0 years at the time the trade was made, Nylander signed for 5 more years, Mark Stone now makes 9 million per, Nylander makes 7 so there's all of that to consider before you go all hey Leafs nation

This does't make sense for either team, Nylander is a key piece in Toronto now and moving forward (best contract on the team) and they are in win now.

For NYR you're overpaying (albeit quantity/quality argument) and their pick will be too high for this to workout. They need to ice a team still.

Absolutely agree, it's not at all the same. Though, its still bad for completely different reasons.

Never said it was good, but value can't be compared to Mark Stone trade, Krieder can though

Yeah 100%, wasn't intending on arguing that, just stating that in the post. Kreider is closer, but still not the same think imo

People don't think when posting something like "Nylander and Mark Stone are in the same scenario"

You bring up points that people ignore or don't care about...and if it's the latter, why bother bringing up whether Leafs fans are delusional when you (not you @Boomer125 ) can't be unbiased yourselves.

Just respectfully will say ADA and Georgiev potentially is enough for Nylander. Potentially Lias on top of them since he may not have much value, NYR don’t have to add Fast and a first.

ok boomer... you're wrong in so many ways.
stone wasn't a ufa, the trade came with a 8 year deal.
stone makes 9 mill because he's a perennial all-star and is nominated for the selke award every season.

these 2 player aren't comparable. are you telling me you would rather nylander over stone?
please remove your huge nose from the leaf's nations butt's. thanks

Stone was not traded with an extension attached,Vegas Negotiated that extension with Stone once they had them.
And yes I would rather have Nylander and his contract than Mark Stone and his contract
