Seems steep for Zucker tbh, he'd be unreal in Pitt though

That’s the minimum of what Pens would have to give up. But @Sidstick87 believes they should go after Fiala.

didn't notice his term at first, but still Zucker was practically free for the taking at the start of the year (dif gm) so i don't know how much leverage they have

why would the penguins give up Schultz for a playoff run.
That's never going to happen.

The Penguins have literally nothing in their system that would get them Fiala.
Poulin, Bjugstad, and their 2020 1st OR Addison is what I would demand for Zucker. The Pens have a putrid prospect pool.

If a Zucker deal starts with Poulin, Addison & a 1st, then I would say no deal. From what I’ve seen, that’s approximately how much a player like Rakell would cost, and he’s better than Zucker. So that’s too much for me.

Bill guerin knows GMJR & he knows all the Pens prospects, so he’s gonna demand a gross overpay.

I actually agree with you, but I would demand this because I don’t really see any of the Pen’s prospects becoming anything more than borderline middle six forwards or 2nd/3rd pairing Ds. Hallander and Poulin (according to what I’ve read) both have skating issues and in today’s game, players with skating issues are hard to play.

This is a horrible take and absolutely wrong all in one comment.

You’re uneducated. Legare, Poulin, Addison, Bjorkvist, Hallander?

Solid prospects, but not one (or even 2) I would trade Fiala for.

Don’t act like you wouldn’t have done it when the season started. wild fans were shoving him outta there.

All you would need to do is watch the Wild’s game against the Blackhawks last night to know why. Heck, just watch the overtime and you will see all you need to see.

Yep you are right they are not particularly smooth or fluent skaters. They will need to improve in order to get to the NHL level. The Pens organization is very good at developing young talent through the farm. They’ve done so with low draft picks like Guentzel, Rust, Dumoulin, Letang, Marino & Murray who are excellent players today.

That is way too much for Fiala, he is a very good player that I have targeted since w/ NSH bc he plays that style that Sid likes.
But that is the kind of deal that gets u a legit top line player, Fiala is more of a Top 9 type winger.

Watch the overtime from the Wild/Blackhawks game from the other night and you will see how crazy talented Fiala is! He is an unquestionable 1st line talent...the only question is IF he will become a 1st line player...tbd

I agree. This is why I referred to him as a 1st line talent with a question mark about him becoming a 1st line player.

I actually totally agree & I have had Gallagher / Kreider / Rakell / Fiala as my wish list for Pens trade for like past 3-4 yrs. And every time ppl always ask me why Fiala on list?? And Ive always thought that he plays the exact game that Sid loves & has the ability to put up 30 goals - 60 points.

IMO he’d be a cinch to get 60 points playing with Sid...probably more like 70-80.
