Love all of these!
If we take uncle Leo for three more I would flip the years on the 2nd/3rd
Draft Drysdale (rhd) with our own, Holtz or Gunler once the Yotes miss the POs!
And since we're dreaming send Sami to Tor for Kapanen

I can't speak for the other 3 teams.
But the Penguins fans accept your trade proposal.
Of Course the problem is. Why would NJ do this?
Simmons is on an expiring deal. Chucky is on an expiring deal. And if NJ was in a playoff position I would be like, ok, one under performer for another. But they are out.
There really isn't anything here for them to gain. Much like Buffalo making a hockey trade like Chucky for Vesey now. I don't see the point for them.

speaking only for the penguins trade, not something I've really thought of or considered. I'd like to think the Devils would want more than just a swap. Would be really interesting to see Simmonds on the Pens.

Realistically what we he return?
I mean they could retain, but does that go from a fourth to a third? Maybe in this years deep draft it would be. Hated him in Philly, love em here, wouldn't mind seeing him go to a contender

yeah I mean from my perspective. NJ would seem to want some kind of future asset if they made this deal.
How much, I don't know that. Part of it is what else is out there and how he has actually played this year which just gauging from the stats and the few games I have seen him play isn't all to well, much like Chucky.
I would say yeah, a 4th is probably right. But who knows.

The reasoning behind this trade is that NJ knows what Simmonds brings but given Gals struggles, a change of scenery could greatly benefit him. Especially in NJ where there will be little to no pressure. Both are expiring but Pitt could see Simmonds leadership and tenacity as a plus for a deep playoff run. Nj could then use the small sample size which is the rest of the 2019-2020 season after the TDL to see how Gal fits into the lineup and how he performs. If he turns things around, plays well with the young guys NJ has, then NJ could feel more comfortable throwing him an offer in FA having somewhat of an idea how Gal slots in, rather than hoping for the best how this last FA went.

I'm pretty sure whatever contract Chucky signs next year, is going to be so close to league minimum that you could send him to the AHL and not effect the cap.
I mean, I can't imagine anyone signing him for more at this point. His production is that of a 4th liner much like Simmonds.

I would just wait till the off-season and sign him. In the mean while see if any one from Binghamton can play in the lineup. Don't even see why Galchenyuk would be good on the Devils, his assists are okay, but he is not scoring, he doesn't hit, and I don't think he kills penalties. In my mind the Devils have enough under performing skill forwards/ D-men. Plus if the Devils trade Simmonds they lose pretty much all the grit they have left.

By the way I think Simmonds should get a 3rd or a 4th plus.
