It's clear that the Leafs won this trade. Campbell has set a record.

They traded for a fringe NHL back up goalie who I'm sure you will be dissapointed with before the trade deadlines rolls over. Clifford is a washed up 4th liner.

I don't know why, personally at the time (I wasn't on capfriendly then so I don't have proof) I thought it was a great trade. And it's only gotten better with time.

Oh man, I think this is a Potential Highway robbery for Toronto, if he gets the majority of the games next season with Hutchinson or Woll as a backup and he does well. LA isn’t trading a goalie for awhile, first Bishop, then Kuemper, now Here,

You're right. A fringe NHL player and a 3rd round pick from a team in win-now mode for a rental and a starting goalie who has set at least 1 record. If that's not highway robbery, I don't know what is.

If you look at this guys post history, he's only on here to post negative comments about the leafs and Dubas so it makes sense.

and just like that, Campbell has started to fall back down to earth. Guess it's Rittich's turn to go on a run?

We hoped. But he didn't!

He was unbelievable in the playoffs. Let's just hope he can handle a full season as starter.

3 games in a row he's had a below .900%, 4/5 also

"in over a year" ... I mean it's 11 games but that's one way of over exaggerating it

5 games

I think most people though Campbell was an above average backup, a kind of guy who could be a 1b, but ya, at the time he definitely wasn't starter material or even close to it at the time of the trade.

wow he got pulled once, what a failure

KSIxSKULLS,

Since you're so reactionary on Campbells game by game performance .... what do you think now that the Leafs season is over?

Campbell's Season = 0.921 SAVE% (22 games played)
Campbell's Playoffs = 0.934 SAVE% (7 games played)

J. Campbell Since 2017-18 = 0.923 SAVE% (100 games played) = $1,600,000 cap-hit
Carey Price Since 2017-18 = 0.909 SAVE% (190 games played) = $10,500,000 cap-hit

He's looked good. Let's just see how he does playing a full season.

Nobody is perfect (including me). While I get most of the predictions right, I can still he wrong. The jury is still out on Campbell. He played 2/5 of the games in the regular season and was lights out in the playoffs (until game 7). Not sure why you are trying to gloat, he still has a long way to go before you can say he's a good starting goalie.

This is false, Campbell is actually payed 1.65 mil.

In all seriousness though (and this is coming from a leafs fan), anyone who thinks Campbell>Price has never watched Price play a Playoff game. But without a doubt Campbell is a solid goalie and looks like he'll be a starter for the leafs down the line.

And anyway, even though he isn't better than Price, he provides a way better value for his money.

Boy was everyone dead ass wrong about this trade

Toronto won this for the fact Jack Campbell tied an NHL record and has been a superb starter in Toronto so far while Moore got a tad to much for what he does in LA

Still cant believe he only cost 2 3rd round picks

Kings still win this trade since they have Des Moines Buccaneers legend Alex Lafferiere.

Seriously though, yeesh.
