not sure Holland would give up both things he declared publicly to not be trading .
1/2 sure but both ... if he wouldnt budge on them for Hall ,why would he for Tatar ?
sure the extra year term is nice but i dunno if its enough .

JP and a 2nd or Lavoie , 1st and a B level prospect(or a 3rd)

these are trades that make sense for both teams no matter which option they take .
Given JP's jumped from top 20 to #6 in Liiga and heating up. i think its fair to say EDM would be **** to trade him now .
especially if you're bringing in Tatar to play with 2/3 top NHL scorers who for the most part are playing with bottom 6 players (and in some cases that's being nice)
if EDM gets direction for the first time ever under Daryl Katz 2007-now then his issues go away .
