Habs trade is just awful for both teams, and unhelpful to B’s. Thankfully the Habs would have the sense to decline it anyway. shakes head

Giving up the kind of assets it would take to get Petry when he would play 3rd pair is just asinine. There is no need.

Kovi is getting 1st line minutes and PP time in Montreal, he does not in Boston. His production drops but you want to pay based off what he is producing now. He’s worth no more than a 3rd or 4th to us, even then i’d never do it. Not to mention putting him on a line with Krejci and Debrusk is just inviting the other team to score.

Ugh.

Columbus declines... is Senyshyn considered a bust yet?

Also I don’t think Columbus is going to sell Anderson at a crazy low value.

Depends on who you talk to. Hes looked good in the limited time he got in Boston before getting hurt. They way they've handled him is mind blowing to me at this point.

Agreed. He passes the eye test when playing in the NHL and looks like he can contribute but the production and stat line does not tell the same story.

I believe he should be playing in the NHL if not for Boston based on the way he has performed in his brief stints. Would not put the bust tag on him just yet.

Bruins are the ones that decline.
Bruins arent giving up senyshyn for him right now lol (Senyshyn is not a bust yet, and played well at the NHL level)
and if the bruins offered less (like maybe a 3rd round pick alone, which is what he is worth right now) , the Jackets decline because they have no reason not to hold onto him

I wish they'd give him a look now tbh. Size, speed, right shot, 200ft game.

I agree. Would definitely give them a more complete lineup and better pace on the third line. Him and Coyle showed some pretty good chemistry in the small sample size they had together.

I would be fine if their only deadline move was to call him up.
