Fix Sharks 30

Created by: DReedy14
Team: 2020-21 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 6, 2020
Published: Feb. 6, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
An ambitious look at a Sharks' retool without a total overhaul

-Question: Any chance the Virtanen trade could work? Any alternative players who might fit?

-Could also skip the Virtanen trade and Kreider signing and have $12-14 million to use elwhere if they move Vlasic off the books.

-Ignore the added 6th to the Sorenson trade (would take to long to revert)

Nobody is touching that Vlassic contract unfortunately... Also, why does Chicago trade you their first rounder just for their own 2nd rounder and two 3rds??? Lol

Lehner already said that he's not taking a cheap discount to stay with Chicago, So why would he do it in San Jose? Reportedly Lehner is seeking anywhere from 7 x 6.5. to 7 x 7. He's not taking no 3 year deal with only a @250,000 raise.

Picked Chicago almost randomly, I'm thinking the Sharks should be able to use picks to move into the first round with a package.

Supposedly there was interest from Montreal. The length isn't pretty, but Vlasic is back to being a solid defenseman. He's not the lockdown guy he used to be, but he's good and could help a young team.

No chance at what? That they would give up a 2nd, a prospect and a mid pick for Dillon? Ok, take out the 4th, better?

Dillon is a solid, reliable defenseman. This would be a good trade for Toronto.

Interesting, I haven't seen anything about Lehner's comments nor salary projections so I'm guessing. Based on what you're saying, Sharks are probably better off pursuing Greiss or Francouz.

Yeah there's an article stating that Lehner wont take a hometown discount to remain with the Hawks, He wants to get paid. Unfortunately i don't know how to do links on here.
