I would rather buy hamonic, and keep the kids over gusev. I really think niku and roslovic are going to have big finishes this year and comeback with a ton of confidence and stay in top 4 and top 6 all next year. My only question would be if hamonic comes in for similar money to severson, I like that desmith add

It’s funny cause I had the jets signing hamonic as a UFA, then said ah you see that in every thread, so I deleted him and traded for severson. I do agree on what you said about Niku and roslovic. I think hamonic wold take 4x4. I like the idea of trading for DeSmith. Also Lowry could be a good add for the pens. Jets would most likely have to move brossoit at the 19-20 TDL in this case. Or just bury brossoit

My keeper list for jets obviously for different reasons, in no real order would be scheifele, connor, ehlers, roslovic, copp, vaselainen, Appleton, harkens morrissey, niku, heinola, samberg,pionk, and helly. That’s my going forward nucleus, laine trade could cost my job, and return on wheeler might not be worth it. But just if I’m gm opinion. A free agent hamonic and cheap sbisa and beaulieu could be in the mix too for another year

Agreed on all of this. I would tease the idea of moving Laine to an EC team. If Maurice doesn’t get rehired I think he goes to Seattle. Wheeler has been quoted saying he’ll only ever play for Maurice. Maybe he waives NMC and goes to Seattle in a trade.

Would be nice right at expansion draft and Seattle sweetens it up, instead of the other way around. I kinda wonder if there’s a laine blockbuster, need to be one hell of a haul. Still believe jets don’t win til all the thrashers are gone. Jets drafted players going to solve it at some point.

Should post some Laine trades and see how ppl respond. Agreed on thrasher statement. I could see that wheeler/Maurice situation playing out. Maybe jets get Seattle to pick someone like Lipon and then trade them wheeler for some small pieces. God I’d be happy to get a 2nd+3rd for him lol.
