Can Reinhart center? If so Columbus would be interested. Would Wennberg, Anderson and 2020 1st( top 5 protected- turns into 2021 1st unproteced) be enough?

Is it really a smart idea to trade the only guy that gets points aside from Eichel? You trade him and Eichel might pack his bags too

If u take out Wennberg & add something we might actually want, then maybe
But it’s hard to imagine us moving him

In the unlikely situation where Sam could get moved,
a guy like Virtanen would have to be the 2nd best piece we are getting back in a package & not the main one

You're pretty optimistic about the picks you're getting in exchange to your scrubs...

Reinhart is miserable in Buffalo. Way more than Eichel and is less important

Depends. Larsson has been a solid 4th line center, i dont think a 3rd is out of the question from someone. Girgensons has been having one of his best years, the sabres 4th line has been their 2nd best line. Sheary has good fancy stats but isnt burying the puck. He also hasnt played with decent linemates all year. Rodrigues is worth a 3rd. So ehh i disagree

Anything better than Wennberg at center then possibly, bit i dont think Columbus has anything theyd part with.

The only reason I added Wennberg was because we needed something to offset the cap hits and Wennberg has been a better 2nd line center this season. Wennberg is responsible defensively and can help produce offensively with the right wings. PLD and Jenner aren’t getting traded so Wennberg is your best option if you want a center coming back. I guess we could send Dubinsky and someone like Marchenko if you’d rather.

Even if your 4th line had been the 2nd best line in your team like you said, you gotta note that it's still the 4th line of the Sabres, which is one of the weakest teams in the league. The players currently on your 4th line wouldn't most likely even crack to the lineup of each team you've moved them to. COL have better wingers than Sheary, and both BOS and FLA are deep enough to make the assets just unnecessary. I can see them maybe acquiring them as reserve forwards, but you can bet they're not paying more than a 5th rounder for those.

Just cause theyre 4th line on a bad team doesnt mean they wont crack other teams lineup, they arent on the 4th line because of their play, and theyve been relied on heavily due to their consistency. Doesnt have to be these teams

Honestly I can't think of a single team these players wouldn't be anything else than 4th liners, and 4th line rentals tend to go for low picks, talking about 5th or 6th. Some exceptions are possible, but they tend to bring something else too, like size, grit, experience or leadership. These assets are not doing this.
