Tampa would be the last team that would be interested in DeSmith, He'll need a new contract and they'll already be tight up against the cap this coming summer. I guess he's still under contract but Tampa has Curtis Mac so no need for DeSmith.

uhhh... Campbell>DeSmith and there was one of the better bottom ers in the league added to him, it'd be more like DeSmith+Blueger for two thirds or smth...

I agree with tampa doesnt need him but Desmith is signed for 2 more years at 1.2mill cap hit so he would not need a new contract

Yeah that was my mistake, It's Murray and Jarry that need the new contracts not DeSmith. For some reason i thought all 3 needed new contracts but DeSmith has two more seasons at a reasonable $1.2 million.

Sharks need a goalie but not a backup, chicago could depending on if they resign both lehner and crawford or not, montreal is probably in need of a backup, devils next year i would assume as well

Desmith has value but I don't think it's a first. This draft is gonna be deep and trading your first for a backup who cleared waivers earlier and has 50 total NHL games makes no sense

Campbell and Desmith is probably a toss up for me but i cant see your argument for clifford > blueger. In my opinion blueger is a much more responsible defesnsively, plays center, and has been part of the penguins most consistent line all season. Clifford imo just bring a point here and there and mostly just hits, which is fine but i feel like blueger has a lot more to his game and potential to improve offensively as well the more he plays. What is your reason for clifford > blueger?

Yeah ik i would be fine if we got 2 3rds for him, i was mainly pointing out that TML overpaid, and if that was the market value we could get a 1st for desmith

I was thinking the other way lol, Campbell>Desmith, he hasn't been completely killed on one of the worst teams in the league (he's been miles better than Quick) and blueger and Clifford is a toss up, both are near the top of the league defensively, both are about average offensively, Clifford hits more, but blueger is faster, and probably a bit better offensively, but blueger also benefits from the best coach in the game rn and playing with ZAR to boost his defensive numbers

in what world does desmith equal a 1st Jesus. Freddy Anderson got a little more than a first. He is the only goalie traded for a 1st in the recent past. the market is flooded with goalies this off season also. the leafs were very desperate also Anderson is injured and Hutchinson is flat out below ahl standards. they also got some grit and toughness in Clifford. Campbell's play this year with the kings has him with more value than Desmith. i also think blueger age speed playing center ability on offence makes him more valuable. he fits the pens needs where Clifford fits the leafs needs.
