I like Tanev but he's an injury-prone rental. This is likely an overpay

Yeah... should we probably throw in Matthews marner and couple of firsts too. I mean if we are going to rock the playoffs with tanev on ltir we really need to put up a better offer....

tanev is a UFA at the end of the year. Kap and AJ both have tons of control and are a lot younger.

Tanev is a RHD who plays the exact style TOR needs for next to Reilly. I get he's unsigned next year, but VAN would only move him if there's not a deal in place. Kapanen and a 2nd would be the price for a hard-to-play-against right shot dman. And again if VAN retains the price goes up as well...
