I do like the premise of CBJ trade for both teams, either team could add to balance out the values. I think Savard would be great in Toronto, but he just has 2 years of term left then UFA and before we know it Leafs Nation will end up in the same Muzzin/Barrie ordeal where they have expiring UFA D and will need to overpay on the UFA contract to retain parts of their D-core. I'm sure Dubas can figure it out and seems like a good hockey trade, just creates more uncertainty in the Leafs future on the blueline.

I don't think that's too far fetched given the poor year Manson has had. Maybe throw another pick in to sweeten it.
As for CBJ then the leafs probably need to find a center from somewhere else, not sure where. Maybe Eric Staal?

As stated, Columbus would need Kerfoot coming back and honestly Barrie is a rental and I’m not sure Columbus wants much to do with a rental unless they feel Peeke is top 4 ready for next year.
