Calgary gets a cheap 3rd pairing D who can play both sides and is also under contract for next year which is a necessity for Calgary with Brodie, Hamonic, Stone, and Davidson being pending UFAs, while the Canucks get a pick out of this trade. Fair?

I think its fair for both sides, even with Fantenburg recently out. We have a few guys in the AHL who could probably play minutes right now if needed. Just recalled Brisebois, Juolevi has played well the last 25 games after finding his groove and obviously Rafferty whos been leading AHL dmen in points. Even Sautner could be an option.

The only thing I see is Benns cap eating into Calgarys space for a forward rental. There may be better options on D available to them as well. Maybe they have interest in one of our fwds in the deal to get it done.
