Description

With McDonough now out and reliance on Rutta as a 1RD before he went down, Tampa limping into stretch. GM said he wanted to add to RD before these injuries so bordering desperate now. These 3 moves upgrade team .. time to use draft picks and trade role players. Perfect world "Mr. November" would be traded for a bag of pucks but one can only dream.

And for those who say "cant trade the future etc. etc. " .. get ready to accept another early playoff loss if we do nothing.

Wild could interest you in Dumba. I'd rather we don't trade him but we need centers BAD. If Tampa was willing to part with Cirelli that could be interesting... We'd have to take a big contract back, of course.

Cirelli untouchable .. 55 pt 2 way center at age 22? .. as I have been saying for years.. he a couple years away from being poor mans Patrice Bergeron as a 2C

Tampa is far from desperate since we don't even know how long McD will be out. Furthermore, Tampa is never trading their 1st for AA, that's horrible for Tampa. The bolts don't need a high prices rental LD, and I doubt NJ would trade him for less than a 1st anyway. DeMelo is interesting, but this trade is an overpay. I'd rather package the TBL 1st+3rd+1 of Smith/Conacher/Martel+Thomas for JGP+DeMelo+5th or 1st+3rd+Joseph for Pageau+DeMelo+4th or 5th. At least if Tampa is trading their 1st they can package it to up grade top 9 depth plus RD depth for the playoffs.
