Given Barrie’s season, I don’t think any GM is going to give him that. Canucks couldn’t afford that unless they don’t resign Markstrom and trade Stecher. As it is, it’s going to be difficult for them to keep Markstrom, Tanev and Stecher. Finally, Rafferty likely going to play with the Canucks next season. Don’t need an offensive RHD with Rafferty and Meyers on the right side

I am not very high on Tanev. Also, I think the Leafs look for someone with some years left on the contract.

Also, I don't see why people are that low on Johnsson. He is no star, but a solid player. Also, he gets very limited time on the PP. And we have seen what Leivo was able to do with more opportunity. And Johnsson is by far a better player than Leivo

I don't want to move him. He's a middle-six winger who can play up the lineup and doesn't need anyone to drive play for him. He has game-breaking speed, soft hands, great hand-eye coordination and when he gets to the front of the net he can finish. Also, he's an agitator... All that said he's not one of my favourite players or anything I just give credit where it's due.

I think he's expandable but the deal needs to make sense for us and this deal doesn't. I know most leaf fans trade him on their ACGMs because they think we're deeper on LW but in reality Hyman has one more year after this and he'll likely be to expensive for us to re-sign. Mikeyev had a major injury and he may never be able to grip his stick properly again so he's more valuable to us than most think moving forward than most think.

Nylander has been stellar this year and he would not be moved unless its massive overpayment. He is basically untouchable for Leafs organization and core piece to this team.

Im okay with trading either of Kapanen and Johnsson, be it one or the other. Both are mid-6 scoring wingers who can play two-way game and be gritty and feisty. Using our strenghts (wing depth) to address weaknesses (defense). Pretty simple and logical reason, no?

It also makes more sense to move Kapanen because we have more certainty ahead of him but honestly, out of Kapanen, Johnsson and Kerfoot it makes more sense to move Kerfoot....shopping Nylander means we're looking at a different tier of defenceman and I don't think Dubas wants to go there. Also, Mango ain't overpaid he had an injury.
